The Tiny Tumbleweed: reducing our carbon footprint

26 July 2009 392 views

Every once in a while a story hits Google Trends and this week, it was the Weebee.   This is a story of  Jay Shafer who called the first of his little hand-built houses, Tumbleweed.   He says,  “My decision to inhabit just 89 square feet arose from some concerns I had about the impact a larger house would have on the environment, and because I do not want to maintain a lot of unused or unusable space.”

Here is their website: www.tumbleweedhouses.com and here is how to build a Weebee.
