Green martini, hold the olives
I once thought that the best vodka one could drink was in the martini glass held by Pierce Brosnan. In his company that would be the perfect martini. However, now I must confess that if Pierce is not drinking green vodka, than I would have to pass on the offer to sip along with him. Well, on second thought, maybe not. Maybe I would stay with him and do my best to convert him to green vodka.
Last year Green Planet did a story about green vodkas and the move towards vodkas in the “green” effort world. But we are now hearing that 360 Vodka is taking a total earth-friendly approach, in fact the company itself is called Earth Friendly Distilling Company.
How serious are they? They donate $1 to environmental charities when a swing top bottle is returned for recycling. It is produced in machines the run on biodiesel fuel. And the glass bottle and paper label are make from recycled materials shipped in recyclable bins. Here is more about the company. Vodka360
Green Planet had this to say about vodka: ” … the classic Russian/Polish-spawned liquor (depending on which nation you ask) is rapidly branching out into earth-conscious territory.
“There’s vodka made from organic ingredients, vodka that plants a tree, vodka made from 100 percent renewable geothermal energy, co-op vodka made by 900 farmers, and vodka that workers at an ethanol plant started as a side project. The uniting factor? All have much to contribute to the modern environmental movement. Planet green
So please Pierce, for the sake of the planet, make that a green martini. Cheers! / RW
